OBJECTIVES

First Goal
Increase membership in order to place Prescott Art Docent Masterpiece and Youth Speakers Bureau Programs in every elementary school in the Tri-City area.

Second Goal
Collaborate with the Phippen, Smoki, and Sharlot Hall museums and develop a school program that ties into Arizona and Western History.  Art Docents provide interactive art history presentations to the students.  Museums provide items from the time period for the children to view and touch if appropriate.

Third Goal
Gain a greater presence in the Tri-City area through community presentations, effective promotion in newspaper and radio, and through leadership in the Prescott Docent Coalition. 

MISSION

Prescott Art Docents is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Phoenix Art Museum.  Formed in 1971, the purpose of this volunteer educational organization is to serve the community by providing art education to schools and to adult organizations through carefully researched programs designed to further public understanding and appreciation of the visual arts.
